- Turkish Ingenuity Shatters World Records with New Missile Engine. According to the Turkish industry and technology ministry, Turkey's first medium-range missile engine broke the world record by producing 1,342 newtons of thrust power with a 240-millimeter (9.5-inch) diameter. The engine for the TEI-TJ300 was created by Tusas Engine Industries with assistance from the Turkish Council for Scientific and Technological Research (Tubitak), and it can be utilized in systems for aerial, marine, and land defense. The Tei-TJ300 Air Breathing Jet Engine Project was launched following the agreement of a protocol between Tei Roketsan and Tubitak. the first test of a turbojet engine prototype that was entirely domestically created, produced, and constructed.
